“Help that creates dependence is not help ; help that creates independence is.” We are not replacing giving, we are improving what it produces : the family gains the tools, the student gives something back to their community, and the project still stands once we are gone.

A partnership with ENEDIS signed in 2025 : equipment refurbished, resold at an affordable price to students, and the proceeds reinvested in the Far North of Cameroon. Two editions of the JamaaCup with the BALM association, which directed more than 1,000 euros to school fees. Twenty young people trained to make bio-sourced charcoal and eco-friendly paving stones. And a first round of 1,200 euros raised on the ARIS platform for a project in Cameroon.
They explain most of our decisions, and they are written down so that you can hold us to them.
A scholarship application is never submitted alone : a local partner association that knows the family’s real situation carries it. That is what stops us from choosing from a distance, on paper, between families we have never met.
Each month the Jeunes Pousses civic action is proposed and then voted on by the group. We suggest, members suggest too, and the action carried out is the one with the most votes. Nobody decides alone, including us.
No scholarship is ever suspended automatically. We talk first, then reassess. And a child is never held responsible for an adult’s failure.
I have always wanted to help those who need it, to open doors and to bring people together. That is why RING was created, in June 2020.
The name is not an accident. In French, a ring is where fights take place. And student mobility, school fees, choosing a path : those are fights. For the people going through them, and for their families.
I want RING to be the corner coach of everyone who steps into that ring, before, during and after the fight. Someone who prepares you, holds you up during the effort, and celebrates or helps you back to your feet.
In English, ring also means a circle. That is the community we are building : whoever has been through it helps the next one.
