Applications go through the Campus France Études en France platform in your own country. The calendar is annual and there is no catching up : find your country’s dates as soon as the campaign opens.
For any application filed since 1 August 2026, the amount to be proven is 877.50 euros per month, about 10,530 euros for the year (decree no. 2026-526 of 22 June 2026). Three routes are accepted : a blocked account, a guarantor’s proof of funds, or an irrevocable transfer certificate issued by an institution.
The application is filed on France-Visas, after the Campus France interview. A refusal is not the end of the road : appeals exist, with short deadlines that are worth knowing before you lose time.
Being admitted is not being enrolled. The student life contribution, 105 euros for 2026-2027, is paid before administrative enrolment. Differentiated tuition fees apply to most non-European students, and exemptions are now capped.
Validate your long-stay visa on the French administration’s online platform within three months. Register with the health insurance system, which is free. Insure your home : the certificate is required when you collect the keys.
All of them have been publicly reported, by Campus France, by French police prefectures or in the press. None of them is hypothetical.
That is false, and Campus France states it plainly : no agency is approved. A paid intermediary makes neither the pre-registration nor the visa easier. Support can be valuable, but it grants no privileged access to the procedure.
Fake scholarship offers circulate by messaging apps and social media, sometimes using the name of real institutions. No public scholarship is paid for in advance. Always check on the organisation’s official website, never through the link you were sent.
Never pay before visiting, or having someone you trust visit. Run a reverse image search on the listing photos. To build a rental file, DossierFacile is a free French government service : nothing to pay.
Fake emails in an institution’s colours, altered bank details, artificial urgency. No institution asks for a transfer by email with a deadline of a few hours. Check on your enrolment account, or by phone.
One simple rule. Before paying anything, ask three questions : does this organisation exist on an official website ? can I check it somewhere other than the link I was sent ? can I get it in writing ? If a single answer is no, wait and write to us.
These are the ones that count. When a third-party website says otherwise, they are the ones that are right.
